ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – January 21, 2023 – The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) will return to Road America in 2024 and 2025 for the 61st and 62nd running of the annual National Championship Runoffs, an event that caps the Summit Racing Equipment SCCA Road Racing program each year and has evolved into what is widely known as the pinnacle of U.S. amateur road racing.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – December 14, 2022 – Elkhart Lake’s Road America Inc., recently announced the addition of Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) Team Owner, Mike Shank, to its Board of Directors. Shank comes into the position with over two decades of motorsports experience as professional IMSA and INDYCAR SERIES Team Owner.

Race cars from around the world, and nearly every era of racing, wake from their slumber to not only appear before adoring fans but to relive their glory on a racetrack from September 16-18 at America’s National Park of Speed.

Students from Milwaukee-based Great Lakes Adult & Teen Center will get an up-close look at Road America during the Fanatec GT World Challenge, Aug. 19-21.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – July 17, 2022 – The WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman at Road America concluded after three days of excellent vintage racing action, exhibitions, Concours awards, and activities for fans. The event has been heralded as one of the most significant vintage racing events in the country. 2022 ushered in Dan Gurney’s All American Racers Eagles as the featured marque, with the largest contingency of Eagles on the property (30 in total) for fans to see.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – June 15, 2022 – The WeatherTech® Chicago Region SCCA June Sprints® return to Road America this weekend, June 17-19, in one of amateur racing’s premier events in the country. The June Sprints have been held every year at Road America since 1956, just one year after the four-mile track opened.

An impressive 371 entries are expected in eight group races, featuring the best showroom stock to highly modified purpose-built race cars from around the country.

ELKHART LAKE, Wis., – May 31, 2022 – Fast racetracks breed close races. And there are none faster on the MotoAmerica schedule than Road America. Thus, there is nowhere like the iconic racetrack in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, where the difference between happiness and heartbreak is minute. 

The average margin of victory in the MotoAmerica Superbike races held at Road America since 2015 is 2.49 seconds. And that includes Josh Hayes’ “runaway” win over Cameron Beaubier in race two in 2015 by 4.586 seconds.
