Basic Rider Course
Learn to ride a motorcycle through Road America’s Basic Rider Course (BRC). This Road America motorcycle class was designed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) for beginning riders. Learn how to ride a motorcycle safely in a closed-course environment.
Scooter Basic Rider Course
Road America offers three opportunities to learn how to ride exclusively on YAMAHA Zuma 125 scooters for our Scooter-specific Basic Rider Courses. Advanced registration is required.
Street Skills Course I
STREET SKILLS COURSE I: Building CONFIDENCE
Street Skills I (SS I) is intended to help initial and developing riders build confidence in their riding abilities and in their bike, whether recently licensed or a returning rider.
Street Skills Course II
STREET SKILLS COURSE II: Enhancing CONTROL
Street Skills II (SS II) is focused on helping developing or accomplished riders enhance their ability to control their bike under varying conditions and in different situations that they may encounter on the street.
Dirt Bike Course 1
The Dirt Bike Course 1 at Road America provides hands-on rider training with an emphasis on safety and skill development. Dirt Bike School coaches will teach you basic riding skills and responsible riding practices, including risk management and environmental awareness. New riders or others looking to improve their riding skill will benefit from the riding course which is taught by certified coaches.

Join the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s Moto Intro Ride Day at Road America on April 19, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM! This free event offers a chance to experience riding a motorcycle in 30 minutes or less, with provided motorcycles, helmets, gloves, and coaching. No prior experience is needed!
