Rental Karts not doing it for you anymore? Level up your karting skills at the Road America Kart Racing School Powered by Franklin Motorsports! Whether you have mastered the indoor tracks or feel the need for more speed, our Kart Racing School is the perfect place to start your journey into real racing. Aimed towards beginner drivers, the Road America Kart Racing School is a half-day experience covering the basics of kart racing and beyond.

Our half-day experience will touch on safe practices, competitive driving lines, and braking exercises to shorten your learning curve as you embark on your racing career. Karting hopefuls from ages 8 and up will be paired with a Briggs & Stratton powered racing kart prepared by Franklin Motorsports Inc to hone their skills. Participants will get personalized coaching from experienced staff at one of the top facilities in the country.

Your session will begin in a group of 7 – 10 participants. Upon arrival, participants will have a final fitting into their kart for the session. Following a track walk and coaching overview, participants will undergo a few skill exercises to become familiar with their equipment and personal limits. On-track sessions will begin with lead follows and debrief discussions. Participants will be split into two groups based on initial performance and will work for the remainder of the session in a group setting of 4 – 6 participants. 

With a combination of on-track sessions and post-session analysis, participants will begin improving their driving lines and strategies that will become their foundation in competitive motorsports.
