With a storied legacy and exhilarating on-track action, this iconic event is set to captivate motorsports fans with a showcase of American muscle and premier driving talent.
Since its inception in 1966, the Trans Am Series has cultivated a legacy of motorsport legends. Renowned drivers like Tommy Kendall, Mark Donohue, and Wally Dallenbach, Jr. have cemented their historical place, making the Trans Am Series a pivotal chapter in American racing lore. Road America’s rich history with the Trans Am Series dates back to the early years of the championship, where it has consistently been a favorite among drivers and fans alike for its demanding 4-mile, 14-turn track.
The Trans Am SpeedTour at Road America will feature an impressive lineup of iconic American cars—Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and Corvettes—thundering around the track in fierce 100-mile races. With no mandatory pit stops, drivers will be pushed to their limits, providing non-stop excitement from start to finish.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. The weekend will also include a diverse array of support races, featuring the F1600, F2000, and F1000 Championship Series and the Atlantic Championship Series. Additionally, the International GT series will present thrilling contests with late-model Porsches and Ferraris, adding another layer of high-octane action to the event, plus Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car.

One of the standout events of the TransAm SpeedTour is an exclusive gathering for RA license plate holders in the Carousel Camping area. This special event on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. offers a perfect blend of passion and community for Road America enthusiasts. Attendees will enjoy delightful doughnuts and coffee while sharing their love for the track. The day will be capped off with a picturesque Sunset Cruise, providing an unforgettable experience for all. Sunset cruise spots will be sold in person at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex, but RA license plate holders must hurry as it will be limited to 150 vehicles.
