PLYMOUTH ADVANCEMENT ASSOCIATION TO PRESENT JULY 4TH FIREWORKS SHOW AT ROAD AMERICA
ROAD AMERICA FIRE FEST - ONE COMMUNITY, ONE PURPOSE" BENEFITING SHEBOYGAN COUNTY FOOD BANK AND LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENTS
The Plymouth Advancement Association, Inc., is proud to announce a fireworks show on July 4th entitled “Road America Fire Fest - One Community, One Purpose” as a tribute to the strength and resilience demonstrated by residents of Sheboygan County and their efforts to keep each other safe. The show will be the largest fireworks display ever in the Sheboygan County area and will begin around 9:30 p.m.
“This event is a wonderful way to express the hope and unity of our local communities in a safe manner,” said Jackie Jarvis, Plymouth Advancement Association Vice President. “Road America, America’s National Park of Speed, is a perfect venue for a fireworks display because it provides an enormous space – 640 acres – for people to be able to social distance while enjoying an American tradition.”
Proceeds from the Fireworks Show will directly benefit the Sheboygan County Food Bank and both the Elkhart Lake and Plymouth Fire Departments. Additional donations can be made at the time of registration online or before and after the show at the gate.
“We are very proud to be supporting this effort because this is our community and we are all working together to help everyone enjoy an American tradition during these difficult times while giving back to help others,” said Mike Kertscher, Road America’s President and General Manager. “Being able to do something like a fireworks show, while remaining safe was a pretty easy decision to make for us because our vast, outdoor facility, is the perfect place to spread out and enjoy fireworks, even if it’s from inside your vehicle. We are also offering camping onsite and Road America’s Paddock Shop will be open while offering special Fourth of July apparel and novelties, and concessions will be available.”
Entrance to ‘Road America Fire Fest’ is $20 per vehicle, available by advance purchase only. Road America’s Main Gate (located off of Highway 67) will open at 7 p.m. Event entrance requires that attendees print their passes at home to have them scanned at the gate. Attendance will be limited to allow adequate spacing for customers to view the show. To provide adequate spacing of vehicles, Road America encourages everyone to act fast and reserve tickets early at www.roadamerica.com/firefest
Attendees can watch the show from their car or spread a blanket on the grounds. Everyone is encouraged to follow safe practices at Road America during the event, such as social distancing (maintaining six feet from others), frequent hand washing, or using one of the many new sanitizer stations located throughout the facility. Cloth face coverings are encouraged in areas where social distancing is difficult.
