Rules and Policies

Advance ticket prices are offered for each event and must be purchased before the posted deadline date. Gate ticket prices are effective after the advance deadline date and available during the event. Road America is not responsible for lost or damaged tickets. There are no refunds or exchanges on tickets or camping reservations.
Camping (Complete Camping Guidelines)
- In order to camp, each person (over the age of 12) must purchase the ADVANCED CAMPING PACKAGE OR A CAMPING VOUCHER.* The Advance Camping Package is equivalent to admission each day of the event and a $30 camping voucher; the CAMPSITE FEE must be purchased in addition to this package. You will receive a wristband valid for admission and camping privileges.
- *Camping Voucher is sold to spectators after advance deadlines or to those who hold event-specific credentials, or a Season Pass.
- CAMPSITE FEE is per site regardless of type of camping and location. Six (6) people are allowed per site, one must be an adult, 18 or older. If you are camping with someone who has purchased a site, you will need to provide the individuals’ name when ordering your tickets.
STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Road America strictly prohibits the following items or actions:

Individuals that access “hot areas” of the track or pits without the proper required credentials.
- Use of non-prescription drugs and illegal drugs
- Firearms, fireworks (including firecrackers), potato launchers or any type of explosive
- Loud or disorderly conduct, use of profanity, obnoxious disturbances or nuisances.
- Extensive or professional sound systems are not allowed
Possession of such items will result in immediate removal from the property and further prosecution from local law enforcement.
PERSONAL PROPERTY AND RIGHTS: Road America assumes no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property. Please respect the rights of others.
TRANSPORTATION / VEHICLE POLICIES: All vehicles must be street-licensed, have valid license plates and the driver must posses a valid driver’s license to operate the vehicle on the property. Vehicles driven after dark must have headlights. Please drive carefully—observe a 5 MPH speed limit.
- Road America does NOT allow unlicensed ATV’s, scooters, private golf cars, etc. on the property. If brought to the facility, they will be taken to an impound area and returned to the owner at the end of the weekend. A ZERO TOLERANCE RULE will be in effect for the use of these vehicles and no warnings will be given.
- Coaster wagons and strollers are allowed on the property
- Bicycle riding is permitted in the general spectator areas; riding bicycles in the Competition Paddock.
- Rollerblades, roller skates and skate boards are not allowed anywhere on Road America property.
- Free shuttle service (8-passenger golf cars) is provided (Friday-Sunday) during AMA, SPRINTS, KIC, RRS, and SCCA Nationals.
- Public transportation to the track is NOT available. Several taxi companies service the track.
PARKING: Free general parking is available on any open grass areas that are not designed for camping, vendors, hospitality, etc. You may use the service roads around the facility to move to other areas and view the racing from various locations. Preferred parking is available during the major public events for $25 for the weekend. Preferred parking is located on the grass near the VIP tunnel.
SEATING: There are grandstands, as well as benches built on the hillsides, that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis throughout the property. Road America does not have reserved seating. You are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and watch the racing from other locations.
TAILGATING: Road America provides a picnic setting. You may bring your own grills and tailgate, however, large party tents are not allowed. You can not block the views of other spectators. Do not drive stakes or poles into any asphalt surfaces. Do not deface, cut, drive nails into or attach lines or any other objects to trees, bushes, light poles, site sign posts or buildings. Do not tamper with any electrical outlets on Road America property. Spectators that do not have camping privileges must depart the facilities within 1/2 hour after the last checkered flag.
FIRES: You can not have an open fire. Grills must be used when grilling food. Safety first:
- Fires must never be left unattended and trash burning is prohibited.
- Fires are permitted when weather conditions are normal (no high winds or dry conditions) and must be placed in a manner as not to endanger other people or property.
- Gasoline should not be used to light fires!
- Fires must be completely extinguished before discarding coals or ashes in containers clearly marked for that purpose.
Security officers, Road America staff and safety personnel reserve the right to instruct spectators to extinguish any fires too large or that threaten other spectators.
Violators of fire rules will pay a minimum fine of $50 for each infraction.
PICNIC TABLES are for everyone’s use—please do not move the tables.
DUMPSITES: Please collect and dispose of dish and hand washing water at the sanitary dumping stations. Dishwashing is not allowed in the restrooms. It is against the law to dump “gray water” on the ground. There are two dumpsites on the property (Carousel Campground and West Paddock).
UTILITIES: There are NO electrical or water hook ups available. Do not tamper with any water or electrical outlets on Road America property.
PETS: Pets are the responsibility of the owner. Please be courteous and cleanup after your pet. Pets must be kept under the control of a leash or kept in your vehicle with adequate ventilation and water. Pets are not permitted in Paddock areas during spectator events. Management reserves the right to restrict disruptive or exotic pets. If your pet disrupts or causes harm to another individual, it will be grounds for removal of you and your pet from the facility without a refund.
SCENARY: There are more than 20 different species of wildlife located on Road America’s property. The State of Wisconsin has fines for those who destroy wild flowers, trees, or harm wildlife. Enjoy what is around you – take only what you brought.
RESTROOMS: There are several permanent restrooms on the property as well as portable bathrooms throughout the facility.
CONCESSIONS: There are 14 concession stands located throughout the property serving delicious food (limited availability during the SVRA, AHRMA, VSCDA events).
GIFT SHOP: The 4-Mile Merchant located in the competition paddock is open from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM during public events and sells cameras, t-shirts, etc.
